Largue Pharmacy is situated in Huntly a rural Aberdeenshire town. The pharmacy was bought by Gordon and Lee Largue in Sept 2002. Gordon is the superintendent pharmacist and graduated from Robert Gordon University in 1992 with a BSc(Hons) in Pharmacy.Gordon later returned to the university to complete a MSc in Clinical Pharmacy graduating again in 2003. Gordon and Lee are supported by 2 other pharmacists and 12 other members of staff who are suitably trained to appropriately deal with any query you may have. In October 2010 Gordon and Lee bought Duke Street Pharmacy which is also situated in Huntly.

Our pharmacist will need to see the person that the emergency contraception is intended for, and will need to ask a few questions regarding the patients’ medical history. This is done in the privacy of our consultation room and everything discussed is in complete confidence. The sooner you come to our pharmacy to take the morning after pill, the greater the chances of avoiding pregnancy.
If the Pharmacist feels like the morning after pill is not suitable for you, they will advise you to see your health care professional.

Impetigo is a skin condition which is used by a bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus. Classic signs and symptoms of impetigo are red sores that rupture and then form a yellow-brown crust. The sores usually occur around the nose and mouth and can spread to other areas of the body by the fingers, clothing and towels.
Our Pharmacy via the Pharmacy First Scotland Service can prescribe for Impetigo. If you are an adult or have a child over 2 years with a minor impetigo the Pharmacist can examine the area and advise on the best treatment for your impetigo symptoms.
For every £3 you spend in the pharmacy (excluding NHS prescription charges), you receive one stamp in your loyalty card.
- If you spend £3 or more, you get 1 stamp.
- If you spend £6 or more, you get 2 stamps.
- If you spend £9 or more, you get 3 stamps. etc..
Each loyalty card has 22 stamps and once you complete a card you can exchange it for £3 off your next purchase in the pharmacy.
The Medication Care and Review (MCR) service, formerly known as CMS, is a serial prescription service. Register with Largue Pharmacy to have your regular repeat medication dispensed and ready for you to collect.
A serial prescription is a prescription for medicines you need to treat your long-term condition (your repeat medication).
It looks like a normal prescription but lasts for 24 or 48 weeks.
With a serial prescription, you can get your repeat medicines directly from the pharmacy where you are registered.
You won’t need to see or phone the Doctor to request your medication.
Serial prescriptions last for either 24,48 or 56 weeks and Largue Pharmacy will dispense it in instalments (either every month or every 2 months depending on your GP’s instructions).
The Pharmacy will have your prescription ready for you when you need it, so you don’t have to wait in the pharmacy.
The Pharmacy will keep your serial prescription in the Pharmacy.
Ask at the Pharmacy to be registered, once registered your GP will assess your suitability.

This is caused by the eyes lens becoming less flexible with age and these changes will progress with time.

The tobacco epidemic is one of the biggest public health threats we have ever faced, killing more than 8 million people a year around the world. A urinary tract Infection (UTI) can occur in any part of your urinary system.
